HOTEL
A true hidden gem of Knightsbridge, The Franklin London combines the warmth of a private home with the impeccable service of a luxury hotel. Refurbished by the celebrity designer Anouska Hempel, this 35-bedroom boutique hotel is unique and original in style, fusing the charm of an English house with Italian style.
The Franklin is tucked away on a quiet residential street yet is only steps away from the excitement of Knightsbridge and London’s most famous landmarks. The hotel houses a fine-dining Italian restaurant, curated by the Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo, as well as an elegant and glamorous Franklin Bar.
A truly unique feature of The Franklin is the private garden available to access for all the guests – a haven of oasis in a bustling city. The Library can be enjoyed as a space to relax or for private meetings. The hotels also features a Hammam and a gym and all our guests can enjoy the services of a Les Clefs d’Or concierge.
ACCOMMODATION
Every one of the 35 spacious rooms and suites, including the 63 m2 Presidential Suite – the ultimate distillation of elegance and style – is flooded with light and exquisitely furnished for total comfort. Most offer views of Knightsbridge or the verdant parkland of Egerton Gardens.
While each has a different layout and atmosphere, the Franklin’s 35 rooms all express the same elegant aesthetic that underpins Anouska Hempel’s overall design concept. The colours are mainly muted, neutral tones – greys, black, white, teak and tan – which are lent further authenticity by natural oak flooring, shagreen upholstery and individual touches like the framed botanical specimens on the walls of many of the rooms.
The soft, neutral colours, mainly shades of grey, white and black, harmonise with the sophistication of the other furnishing details, including the oak floors, large Victorian windows, mirrored furniture and wrought iron canopy beds with sumptuous Italian linen by Frette and mattresses by Simmons.
The suites are even more sumptuous, with furnishings in fine Italian velvet and taffeta. Skilful touches of greenery bring nature into the interiors, while Art Deco touches lend extra sophistication.
Large Samsung Smart TVs, GHD hairdryers and straighteners and exclusive Penhaligons toiletries provide add luxurious touches to every room, while a pillow menu and rain shower experience enhance the sensation of sheer indulgence.
