Grantley Hall was bought in 2015 by its owner as a passion project to restore this beautiful Hall back to its former sophistication. Three generations of the Sykes family were involved within the restoration project, bringing the vision to life and creating a magnificent legacy for the family.
Now open, Grantley Hall is an impeccable five-star hotel and wellness retreat, offering 47 exquisite room and suites, four delectable dining options, 3 distinctly different bars, along with our Three Graces spa and ELITE wellness.

York – The gothic and historic city of York is only 30 miles away from Grantley Hall with many places to visit, shop and dine, you will be spoilt for choice in this stunning cobbled city. A must visit is the Shambles.
Harrogate – With its handsome historic buildings and verdant gardens, Harrogate is 12 miles away from Grantley Hall and is one of Yorkshire’s most elegant destinations. Visit one of the many historic gardens, castles and even, Betty’s Tea room.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Garden – a 40 minute walk through woodlands from Grantley Hall or a short drive by car, explore the dramatic abbey ruins which are the largest monastic ruins in the country and hold a rich and dramatic past. Visit the 18th-century Georgian water garden or venture a little further into the deer park, church, grand hall and 12th-century Fountains mill.
Ripon – This unspoilt cathedral city is a North Yorkshire gem, balancing a rich cultural heritage with exciting contemporary living. With its imposing cathedral, fascinating museums and a bustling market square, there is plenty to entertain the visitor. Although Grantley Hall is more of a boutique size hotel, there is ample space for guests to relax and do not feel crowded.
The team work together amazingly and this is noted by many of our guests. Offering their friendly Yorkshire charm and professionalism.
The Three Graces Spa contains 6 treatment rooms, offering a combination of holistic and specialist high performance treatments.
Using products from our product houses Natura Bisse and Ila.
Their therapists are also trained in treatments for expectant mothers and guests who have had cancer treatments.

Often a popular choice, a classic car tour leaving from Grantley Hall, travelling throughout the Dales and finishing at Fountains Abbey with a Grantley Hall picnic.
