HOTEL
HOTEL
The Pelham is an elegant boutique hotel in the heart of South Kensington. It is located a short walk from Kensington Gardens, the inspiration for the eclectic, brightly coloured design of its interiors.
It’s clear why The Pelham has long been regarded as one of London’s most sophisticated hotels. It has the aristocratic atmosphere of a London townhouse, its interiors are a romantic mix of elegant patterns and rich tones, complemented by the warm welcome and flawless service of a noble residence. The wood-panelled drawing room and library are wonderful places to relax, surrounded by archetypally English cabinet work. The hotel offers guests a wonderful opportunity to spoil themselves with an indulgent afternoon tea, or to enjoy some of the exquisite dishes prepared by Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo at the Trattoria. All of The Pelham’s 52 bedrooms and suites have their own style, expressed through a unique design with an evocative mix of antique and modern furniture, paintings and precious fabrics.
La Trattoria by Alfredo Russo welcomes you at any time of day for a delicious breakfast, light lunch, special Vintage Afternoon Tea or elegant dinner. The restaurant serves traditional-chic Italian food created with the distinctive flair of Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo.
For events and meetings – both business and private – The Pelham offers two bright, elegant conference rooms hosting up to 45 people, plus a private dining room, drawing room and library, available for private gatherings.
ACCOMMODATION
The Pelham’s 52 rooms and suites all have an individual style and design, expressed by a unique mix of antique and modern furniture, paintings and precious fabrics.
The wooden and metal window frames enhance the design of the furnishings, a creative combination of classic and contemporary, while natural light from the floor-to-ceiling windows adds extra radiance to the interiors.
The eclectic design theme is carried through to the furnishings where exuberantly patterned headboards, drapes and upholstery are offset by plain, elegant wallpaper, and vice versa.
The ten suites – all spacious, welcoming and sophisticated – offer guests a level of comfort and luxury designed to match their personal taste and needs. There is even a loft-style suite with its own separate entrance, perfect for small families.
Smart Samsung TVs and beds by Simmons with Italian Frette linen complement antique wooden cabinets. The bathrooms are beautifully designed in solid granite and oak, with period style taps. Refined Penhaligon toiletries provide the ultimate in pampering.
All the rooms and suites are air conditioned and equipped with the latest technology. And to ensure that guests will always be unfazed by the vagaries of London weather, there’s also a courtesy umbrella in every room.

There’s also a vegetarian cooked breakfast, while a Champagne breakfast with Eggs Royale offers a more indulgent alternative.
For lunch and dinner, Michelin-starred chef Alfredo Russo infuses his dishes with his zestful, inquisitive approach to life. This “new Italian style” presents a highly personal take on traditional Piedmontese and Italian cuisine. From cod brandade with olive oil to baked aubergines with tomato and mozzarella, veal in tuna sauce, mixed boiled meats, pasta Amatriciana and bean soup, Alfredo’s menu is made for sharing!

Keeping food miles to a minimum, Head Chef Garry Swan is incredible at creating succulent Scottish dishes, and the restaurant has been awarded the Taste Our Best accreditation.
From pork to fish, all ingredients that are served at breakfast have been locally-reared, selecting organic rare-breed back bacon that has been dry-cured by hand, piece-by-piece, for 8 days. Similarly, Chef insists that the organic sausages are hand-made using traditional methods. Both come direct from Shaw’s Fine Meats based in Lauder in the Scottish borders. As for the smoked salmon, supplied by Hong Kong-born Eddie Kwok, Eddie’s Seafood Market a Marchmont institution.
They source local and regional cuisine featuring ingredients farmed, caught or bred in Scotland. From farm or fishery to fork, tracing the provenance of the food, focusing on fresh, seasonal supplies. True to their name, using charcoal to grill our meat, fish, poultry and game. Across all dishes, the burning embers add an authentic caramelised charcoal flavour. From Shetland rope grown mussels to Chateaubriand for two, offering something for every taste.
